IB preparation

The preparatory IB program of Amor Lingua College was created for young people between 15-17 years of age who want to improve their skills and prepare for the IB program and IB diploma.

Age: 15-17 years

Group: maximum 11 students

Duration: 2 weeks

Number of lessons: 30/week

Academic methodology in high-quality preparation for the IB degree with exceptional and experienced IB professors ensures mastery of the skills required for enrollment in the IB program.

Specialized subjects: English literature, English language, mathematics, art, social and mathematical sciences

Participants will learn more about the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and how it can be applied in the IB program. Critical thinking and awareness of the international environment are elementary components of this theory.

Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) enrich this educational experience. CAS enables participants to solve problems in a team, develop new skills and new experience.

IB Diploma Programme students must choose one subject from, each of the five groups (1 to 5), ensuring breadth of knowledge and understanding in their best language, additional language(s),
the social sciences, the experimental sciences and mathematics. Students must also choose either an arts subject from group 6, or a second subject from groups 1 to 5.
DP subjects can be taken at higher level or standard level. At least three and not more than four subjects are taken at higher
level , while the other subjects are taken at standard level . Students can study and take examinations, in English or Spanish. 
Two DP subjects are classified as interdisciplinary subjects and so satisfy the requirements of more than one subject group:
• Literature and performance – group 1 and group 6
• Environmental systems – group 3 and group 4

In addition to disciplinary and interdisciplinary study, the Diploma Programme features three core elements that broaden students’ educational experience and challenge them to apply their
knowledge and skills.

The international English language summer camp is located in Savudrija, on the west coast of Istria.

The camp is located in the heart of a beautiful Mediterranean pine forest. Accommodation is provided in charming bungalows that provide a complete camping experience. Students are under the 24-hour supervision of our experienced staff.
Rooms and bathrooms are shared. Full board is provided. In the residential complex there are: soccer and volleyball courts, handball and basketball courts, street-ball, mini golf, kayaks, mini water park...
Morning hours are reserved for studying, and afternoon hours are reserved for sports and social activities and various workshops.
