The English language exam has two levels - basic and advanced level.

An English exam at a higher level is checking communicative language competence in reading, writing, and listening according to the English language curriculum for grammar schools. Accordingly, the English language exam consists of three exam units: Reading, Listening and Writing. The higher-level English exam corresponds to the ZEROJ levels - the B2 level of the English language.

An English exam at a basic level is checking communicative language competence in reading, writing, and listening according to the English language curriculum with the lowest hourly rate in four-year high school programs. Accordingly, the English language exam consists of three exam units: Reading, Writing and Listening. The basic English level exam corresponds to the ZEROJ levels - the A2 level of the English language.
